Privacy Policy
Last updated October 20, 2026
Card Colosseum (ccleague.live) is operated by RJ Breaks in Illinois ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, create an account or register for events, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version: we collect what we need to run accounts, events and league standings. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password. Passwords are stored in hashed (scrambled) form, and we can't see them.
- Game account details: the games you play and, if you provide them, your Bandai TCG+ username and member ID, Riot ID, and Wizards of the Coast account email.
- Event registrations: the events you sign up for, along with your name and email on each registration.
- Messages: anything you send us, such as an email to our contact address.
Information created when you take part
- League and tournament results: your name, match records, points, decks played and standings.
- Payment records: the entry fee you paid, its status and the payment reference numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and a security cookie that protects forms against forgery. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, including verifying your email and helping you recover access if you forget your password.
- To register you for events, take entry fees, and enter you into sanctioned events through the game publisher's organized play system (for example, Bandai TCG+) when the event requires it.
- To track and publish league standings, results and prize eligibility.
- To send you emails about your account and events (see section 4).
- To keep the site and our events safe, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. What's shown publicly
League standings and event results are public. They show your name, records, points and the decks you played. Your email, phone number, game account IDs and payment details are never shown publicly. If you'd prefer a different display name on the standings, email us.
4. Emails we send
By creating an account, you agree that we may email you about your account and the events you take part in, including:
- verification codes and temporary passwords
- event registration confirmations and payment receipts
- updates about events you registered for, such as time changes or cancellations
- important notices about your account or changes to these policies
These account emails are part of using the service, so they can't be turned off while you have an account.
Optional emails, such as event announcements and news, are separate. You can choose whether to get them when you sign up, and you can unsubscribe anytime from Account Settings → Email Preferences or with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. No login is needed for the link. We use your phone number only for account recovery and to contact you about an event you registered for, and never for marketing texts.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the site: Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery) and Render (website hosting and database). They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- With game publishers' organized play programs, such as Bandai TCG+, when you register for an event that is run through them. Their own privacy policies apply to what they receive.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, staff or others.
- If the business changes hands, as part of a sale or transfer of the business, under the same protections described here.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. League results are kept as part of the standings history. Payment and registration records are kept as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except records we're required to keep by law.
7. Your choices
- Update your details anytime from your account settings.
- Get a copy, a correction or a deletion of your information by emailing Cardcolosseum8040@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We'll respond within 30 days.
8. Children
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and users under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, email verification and login lockouts to protect your account. No website can be 100% secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know by email or on the site before they take effect.
